Orlando WinesWyndham EstateOrlando Wyndham Group

Australia is gifted with a myriad of exceptional wine growing regions, and two, the Barossa Valley & the Hunter Valley, are home to two of Australia's most exceptional wineries. Wine image 1

Orlando Wines

The story of Orlando Wines is the story behind winemaking in the Barossa Valley. It was in 1847 that Johann Gramp, a Bavarian immigrant, planted the Barossa Valley's first commercial vineyard at Jacob's Creek, just north of the Orlando Winery. It was from these humble beginnings that one of Australia's most famous wine brands was to emerge. The Jacob's Creek brand in particular has a tradition of producing international award winning wines.
  • Jacob's Creek Shiraz Cabernet - An international benchmark in terms of value and quality. The varieties, skilfully blended, complement each other to produce a red wine featuring soft, full fruit flavours, mellow tannins and subtle oak integration.
  • Jacob's Creek Riesling - Blended from select parcels of rhine riesling grapes from South Australia's most famed vineyard districts. Fresh floral and citrus fruit characters are balanced by a distinctive crisp finish.
  • Jacob's Creek Chardonnay - Vintaged from chardonnay grapes sourced from a variety of premium South Australian grape growing regions - cooler districts for varietal definition and warmer areas for richness of flavour and early drinkability. Attractive citrus & fresh peach fruit complemented by subtle toasty oak make this the perfect companion to your favourite dishes.

Wyndham Estate

Founded by English immigrant George Wyndham in 1828 on the banks of the Hunter River in New South Wales, Wyndham Estate has been producing world class wines for over 150 years. During the 1800's, George Wyndham showed Hunter wines in the Great Expositions of Europe and the USA, receiving gold awards for many vintages and establishing a tradition of quality.

As recently as 1988, Wyndham Estate was named the most successful exhibitor in the world at the Intervin International judging in North America.

  • Bin 444 Cabernet Sauvignon - Since the 1970's, Wyndham Estate has produced fine examples of cabernet sauvignon, proving the Hunter Valley an excellent environment for this premium grape variety. The most appealing attributes of Bin 444 are the deep rich colour, wealth of bouquet, length of flavour and its consistency over the different vintages.
  • Bin 555 Shiraz - Grown in a variety of soil types, Bin 555 consistently delivers a deep coloured, soft and quick maturing wine style with a well rounded aftertaste. The tannin structure is not mouth puckering but integrated, smooth and in harmony with the flavour and acidity.
  • Bin 222 Chardonnay - First released in 1980, this exceptional wine has been a consistent performer, winning 14 Gold, 18 Silver and 22 Bronze medals at national and international shows. The Chardonnay bouquet, rich fruit flavours and gentle oak backdrop ensure this wine will continue to enjoy international success..
