Mulataga
Aquaculture: From Farm to the World
Australia is surrounded by waters
of the Southern Oceans of the world and adjoins Antarctica. These waters
are the most pristine habitat for lobsters, crabs, shellfish and fish.
Australia is fortunate not to have the pollution and industrial waste
of the Northern Hemisphere and seafood exported by Mulataga is guaranteed
clean and healthy.
Mulataga
Pty Ltd commenced operations in 1980 with a long term focus to supply
aquaculture products to the expanding local and export markets. Having
foundations in the famous Western Rook Lobster industry, Mulataga have
created a synergy between aquaculture and wild caught fishing.
This strategy of combining wild caught products and aquacultured products
is the core of company growth and continuity of supply. After 14 years
from conception the Mulataga products range represents a diverse selection
of seafood.
Reliability of supply and advice on seasonal availability are key factors
in the Mulataga operation. The Mulataga philosophy is caring about product
from the waters to the plate, from point of harvest to final preparation.
Consumers need to know where product comes from and be confident it is
fresh and healthy. Mulataga have catching vessels and dedicated aquaculture
stretching from the warm tropical waters of Broome and Lake Argyle in
Western Australia down to the Rainbow Coast adjacent to the Antarctica.
The catching and harvesting operations managed by Mulataga are aimed
at live products, particularly deep sea king crabs, deep sea champagne
crabs and southern lobsters.
Select
quality crabs and shellfish are supplied alive or frozen depending on
the clients' needs. When assessing the ever increasing demand for reliable
supply of quality seafood, Mulataga yabby live or processed should be
a strong contender. Like all Mulataga aquaculture products they are
naturally farmed with no chemicals or antibiotics.
A cross section of products are available together with Mulataga yabby,
including live King Marron, Garden Island mussel, Rainbow trout and oysters.
When a client requires a cross section of Premium Australian Seafood,
Mulataga can recommend the right products and seasonal availability.
Mulataga, conscious of trends in food style and costing, are developing
Australian seafood menus conjunctionally with Chefs and believe this bipartisan
planning is essential in today's environment.
