Restaurant Manager: Darren Bastian
As Manager of Number 8 restaurant and wine bar, Darren Bastian has enjoyed a colourful and varied hospitality career, having worked in many hotels and resorts throughout Australia, managing up-market cafe bars in Covent Garden, to managing a cocktail bar in Johannesburg.
Recently employed with Bill Marchetti's Latin, Darren became restaurant manager of the Tuscan Grill until the company's unfortunate demise in October 2001. Quickly snapped up by the team at Number 8, Darren exudes heart and pride in his work to ensure that all his customers are relaxed, contented & satisfied, knowing that they will be well taken care of for the duration of their dining experience at Number 8.
